There is the plunge. the Fall, unto the lower sides of the valley, There is a remarkable world up here, life takes hold, wher'd you'd least expect it. Skyforests form, and in evolutionary isolation the weather mediates water & life. down the fall of a chasm. the world bends ~ the wildlands & the vale in the upperland are sanctuary to the splendour of the Rainlands.
The sub-tropical heat is consumed and amassed from the volcanic realms ~^
     Mixing with the Cold airs from the Tempest & the Chasm, Winds bellow throughout the RavineLands
and here, aperched oh so periously, in a land of the Spire formation. ~ a vertical Monastery survives, in this most trecharous vertice world., pyroclastic flames bellow constantly from beneath the pit:  The RavineSpirelands prop up the valley; ... - the perilous Monastery is hard to access, either flight is required. or

To get here:  a tricky journey must be made across 
the northern Vale & the altitude~ Hypoboreal realm; wherby multiple narrow bridges must be crossed and the exotic altitude tangle too must be navigated safely, amid its lurking  potentials. No doubt, this difficult to access location is the reason the Monastery is occupied by these particular Wizards in the first place.
